Amanda Birkhead, MS, RD, LDN, CEDRD

As a Certified Eating Disorder Dietitian (CEDRD), Amanda specializes in helping those struggling with disordered eating work towards physical health and peace with food. She has been working with eating disorder clients since 2013, supporting adults, adolescents, and families in both residential and outpatient treatment settings. Amanda is particularly passionate about working with those struggling with binge eating and also has a special interest in prenatal and postpartum nutrition.

Shaped by her degrees in nutrition and psychology, Amanda’s counseling style integrates both the physiological and psychological dynamics that come into play in our food relationships. Amanda prides herself on meeting people where they are and helping them make small, but meaningful, dietary shifts that move them towards their personal values and goals. Her ultimate goal is to help people reconnect with their own intuition and internal wisdom in regard to food and body.

Originally from Colorado, Amanda earned her Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from the University of Colorado at Boulder and her Master’s in Nutrition from Colorado State University.

Outside the office, Amanda finds joy in playing volleyball, spending time with her husband and two young daughters, singing loudly in the car, and laughing.
